Starting from Vyjantimala to Vidya Balan, 32 dancers performed on their memorable numbers. The lights, sounds, stage decoration and beautiful colourfull costumes added to the show making it look more classy and attractive. Perfect execution, versatility being Sandhyas prime motive, her students do full justice to every style – folk, semi classical, western, sufi etc.
The second half was filled with performances by the debutant tiny tots and adults from both Garodia Nagar and Sudha Park branch equally who performed confidently maintaining the tempo of the programme with super energy on latest hit numbers. The audiences were glued to the seats throughout clapping, enjoying, demanding once mores enthusiastically.
The Chief Guest for the evening was Krishna Hegde (MLA, Vile Parle) an art lover, inspiration for the youth, well-known for his innumerable social projects in his constituency currently and over the years with legendary Sunil Dutt and MP Priya Dutt.
Hegde appreciated students’ dedication, efficiency and choreography. He also praised Sandhya Salian Kamath (Founder, Director, Choreographer) who not only performed with her students being one among them in the excitement but this time was also the excellent compeer of the evening .
Like every year, this time too Sandhya’s event supported an NGO V-Care Foundation (supporting cancer patients and families) to which the MLA contributed a further 11000 rupees for the cause adding to the aid.
Vandana Gupta from V-Care wished everyone good health and thanked everyone for their support.
Kaushik Kothari, Director of the famous musical group Golden Greats was another guest who came to watch the programme. He was moved by the performance and mentioned that what his music group lacks are beautiful dance performers like Nupurites.
Sandhya known for the immense encouragement she gives her students, idol to all of them, a woman of substance and very popular for her multitasking abilities was seen on her toes for over three hours of programme.
One could see the twinkle in the eye of each one of the Nupur students and parents, as usual proud to be associated with Sandhya.
Assistant teachers Neha Kothari, Sujatha Acharya and Moni while acknowledging high regard for Sandhya said that they learnt time management in every aspect of life from her. “Basically we go to students’ level and teach them so that the learning process becomes easy and graceful. Our theme is to share perfection with great amount of simplicity,” said the three with regard to their teaching techniques.
