As reported in TOI on 10 January 2010

Deputy commissioner of police Milind Bharambe has been appointed to conduct a departmental probe into allegations of three police personnel maintaining links with the underworld. The decision follows the suspension of five police officials for attending a party thrown by Chhota Rajan aides on Christmas Eve.

Bharambe will probe the role of Chembur senior inspector Tulsidas Khakar, constable Talu Salunkhe and Thane assistant inspector S Kolhatkar; the trio is among the five suspended. Bharambe will submit his report to Mumbai police commissioner.
